The Airdri Group was born in Oxford, England, when engineer and entrepreneur Peter Philipps set out to build something better. That founding spirit — solving problems through curiosity and world-class engineering — has shaped everything the Group has become since.

What started with hand dryer innovation has grown into a family of businesses spanning airflow technologies (Airdri), elevator safety technologies (Formula Systems), and air and surface decontamination systems (Aervi™). Each new direction has been driven by the same principle: design and build premium products, to a higher standard.

More than fifty years on, the Airdri Group remains family owned, with operations now reaching across the UK, USA, and Asia. Bruce Philipps leads the Group today as President and CEO from the UK headquarters in Oxford and USA Headquarters in Chicago, while Toby Philipps chairs the Board — carrying their father’s vision into its next chapter.

That vision extends beyond the businesses themselves. In 2024, marking fifty years of Airdri, the family launched the Peter Philipps Foundation to extend the Group’s impact into the communities it serves.

Today, that same world-class engineering approach drives the Airdri Group’s newest ventures — including air and surface decontamination technology, built to meet the hygiene and public health demands of a changing world. It’s this combination of engineering and innovation that continues to improve people’s lives, wherever Airdri Group products are found.
